On-site emergency repair – removal and replacement of heavy machine pin
For a client in the foundation and construction sector, Mantrec B.V. carried out a complex, urgent on-site repair to heavy machinery. The problem concerned a seized machine pin, over 1 metre in length, which had become immovable through wear and stress and could no longer be dismantled using conventional methods.

Specialist technique: thermal lance
The jammed pin has been removed using specialist thermal lancing. This technique allows steel to be pierced and removed in a controlled manner, even with heavily stressed or seized components. By carefully lancing the pin out, damage to surrounding structural parts was prevented.
