MIG/MAG welding
MIG/MAG welding (Metal Inert Gas / Metal Active Gas) is one of the most widely used welding techniques thanks to its high speed and efficiency. In this process, a continuously fed welding wire acts as the electrode, while a shielding gas protects the weld zone from oxidation and contamination. The difference between MIG and MAG lies in the type of gas: MIG uses an inert gas that does not react with the weld pool, while MAG works with an active gas that does. The welder chooses the correct process depending on the material and thickness. Thanks to this versatility, MIG/MAG welding is ideal for a wide range of applications where strong, durable welds are required.
